Reflection

By Joanna B.

Our assignment was taking pictures of medal, glass, etc. taking pictures of glass can be difficult because of using the flash however this photo actually turned out very nicely. The grape lights added a nice lighting to the picture and the mirror adds a nice touch too.

Casper

Our cat is very weird; he will literally stare into space and not look at anything in particular. You may think he is looking at the camera but he is actually staring at the wall. This made for a good picture because he has huge blue eyes and the way he is posing is also nice. It was a little dark so I tweaked it to look nicer.

Chandelier

By Joanna B.

I was getting desperate for an object to take pictures of at my house. I noticed that our chandelier hanging in the dinning room might be good. This photo happened to turn out better then I thought and I made a few adjustments to it to improve the look.

On the Bus

I know this picture is slightly dark, but I think that’s what I like about it. I took this when we were driving away and I think it looks pretty good for being in motion. I didn’t change the picture at all; I only cropped it slightly to focus in a little more.

Darkness

This picture was taken in Spokane, I do realize this picture is dark on one half and brighter on the other, I didn’t make it that way, it’s just how it turned out and I really like that about it.

The Clock Tower

I took this shot in Spokane while we were walking into the city. This shot came out very clear and I like that you can see the clock tower in the reflection as well as physically standing in the background. Let me know what you think and how I might be able to improve!

My Guitar Gently Weeps

I took this picture of my friend Lori to “capture” her personality; which I think I achieved in this picture. I only cropped it a little to make her the focus and made it black and white. Let me know what you think.

Sunshine

There is not a lot I can tell you about this picture. I took it in the flower store. I cropped the picture and changed the colors. I really like how it turned out.

Sum of Absolute Differences

My friend and I were messing around one day and this was the products of one of the shots. I like the focus and I also like her face. It’s not a typical expression she would make. I adjusted the colors to make it look a little more wintery and cold outside.

I Felt Your Shape

This was taken awhile ago. I was messing with the macro settings on the camera and my window was my muse. I liked the color version of this as well but the black and white added a certain “something”.

Mirror Image

I took this photo on the way back from a snowboarding trip with some friends. I don’t particularly love the composition of the photo but I do like that you can see Tom’s face in two of the mirrors. It’s not my favorite but it’s a concept that I tried and I’m okay that.

No Title

I took this right outside of my school; it was on of my favorites because of the simplicity of it. I desaturated the shot a little but I think that it almost made the photo better because before it was very bright and little to intense.

“i love you”

This is an interesting shot; its my little sisters chalk board and I got really bored one day and was writing a note to her and then decided to take a picture as a whole bunch of different angle and this happened to be my favorite.

No Right Turn

I took this downtown and I really liked the background in the photo it was very clear, I also like the angle I took the picture at. I desaturated the picture slightly but I think the end result was pretty good, let me know what you think.

Sun Top Farms

I took this shot when I was driving back from Crystal and I didn’t realize that it said sun top farms in the back ground until I went to edit the power cords out of the edge, I haven’t edited anything else in this photo, let me know what you think.
