Twila Belle

This is my cat Twila Belle. I think she’s gorgeous, for a cat that is, and she loves to pose, so I am inclined to take pictures of her. This was taken while back and yet another I experimented with for selective color. I love how vivid her eyes are. That peculiar shade of yellow-green that a lot of cats have.

It’s In the Eyes

This is a picture I took on my stepdad’s birthday for his homemade card, of me and my little brother. I then went back to it and toyed with it while doing the selective color assignment. I like making eyes the only thing in color. I think it’s pretty and eerie at the same time, and in some occasions it really brings out the brightness of eyes.

Mustang

I took this picture in Fife in the back parking lot of BJ’s Bingo Hall. We parked next to this mustang that had obviously been sitting there for a LONG time. I love mustangs, so I got out and started walking around it taking pictures. This is another selective color picture, and actually the one I decided to print and matte. I like the angles of the car and that it isn’t the entire car.

Little Flower

This is a picture I used for my selective color project. I had taken the picture towards the beginning of the year, and always like it, but didn’t think it had that pop that makes a good picture. So I went back to it for this assignment. I tried giving both flowers color, or one or the other, but the way you see it is how I liked it the most.

Mike and his new shoes…Again.

This was another picture that I did for our Senior Portraits assignment. He told me “This is my rockstar face”. I kept him in color and made the background in black and white. I think it makes him stand out more in the picture. I’m really happy with the way this picture turned out.

Too Many of Me

By: Lena M.

This is an assignment that I did titled “multiples of me”. It was the first time I had ever done something like this. I had to pose for the same picture, numerous times, and then go into photoshop and put the layers on each other. I think I did a relatively good job, and It was really fun. There are some things I would do different, but all in all, I’m happy with the results.

This is a picture of a house and I really liked it. I loved the architecture of the house, and I loved the fence. I dodged and burned a bit, and I made the snow really white. I’m really happy with the outcome of the picture

Meridian

I took this picture while me and my friend were walking around downtown when we had that crazy snow week. I loved being able to take pictures of the snow because we don’t really get snow like this on a normal basis. I took a good amount of pictures with her as a model, but this was one of the only ones that was candid, and I loved the idea of her not looking, so that’s why I picked this picture. The lighting kind of sucked, so I had to work with it, and I’m generally happy with the outcome.

Peace

This is a photo I took of a sticker for the selective coloring assignment. The sticker had a lot of different colors on it so I thought it would be a good subject for the selective coloring. I think it turned out kind of cool with some of the peace signs colored and some not.

Me

This was for the multiples of me assignment. After putting all the photos into one, I had to do a lot of editing with the color because the lighting turned out different in all the photos. Although there are some areas that don’t quite match up perfectly, I think I did a pretty good job on it.

Dandelion

I took this photo awhile ago but decided to use it for the selective coloring assignment. I desaturated the photo and used the history brush to color in the dandelion. I also cropped the photo a little bit. I really like how it turned out.
